It remains a challenge to find, and ever more expensive to buy, a home in the 22202 ZIP code where Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) is standing up its second headquarters.

The median price for the five single-family homes that sold in Arlington County's Aurora Highlands and Arlington Ridge neighborhoods was $870,000 in August, according to data provided by MarketStats by ShowingTime based on listing activity from Bright MLS.

The Jacksonville Housing Authority board unanimously approved the $30 million redevelopment of its affordable housing complex in Jacksonville Beach.

The project, The Waves at Jacksonville Beach, will require the demolition of the existing structures at 123 8th Street South and construction of 127 units. JHA is partnering with TVC Development Inc., a subsidiary of The Vestcor Companies.

Construction is expected to be finished in early 2021. Current tenants have been relocated and will be offered…

A recent report by CoreLogic Inc., a New York-based real estate data company, found that Florida remains one of the worst states for mortgage application fraud risk.

CoreLogic’s 2019 report found that Florida is the third worst state for mortgage fraud, though for the first time since 2017, the Sunshine State was bumped from the No. 2 spot by New Jersey. New York held its spot at No.1.

Florida’s ranking is not a surprise as the Sunshine State has six of the 25 worst metropolitan areas for…

The Sept. 3rd article, “Think Philadelphia is an affordable place to live? Think again.”, doesn’t fully capture the value and opportunity offered throughout Greater Philadelphia.

Compared to Boston, New York City, and Washington, D.C., our region has a lower cost of doing business, lower office rental rates, lower cost of labor, and more affordable housing.

Both New York City and Boston have higher cost of goods, services, and rents at 22% and 12% respectively above the national average.…

If the project comes to fruition, it would be the latest in a series of office projects slated to go up in the hot Denver neighborhood.

Two of the region's biggest construction projects are taking shape right now — the $800 million Regeneron manufacturing complex in East Greenbush, and the University at Albany's $180 million Emerging Technology and Entrepreneurship Complex.

We recently toured both of these projects, along with a bunch of others, to see what's being built around the region. We also track the biggest projects on our Crane Watch map.

A little over four months after opening on Santa Fe Drive, the New American restaurant Pistol Whip is for sale for $3 million.

The 5,250-square-foot corner lot was renovated earlier this year with a 160-seat dining room, patio and new kitchen. Husband-and-wife owners John and Holly Slaughter had planned Pistol Whip (including the name) for a decade before opening in May. They also run a tattoo shop next door called Tribe.

“We’re just trying to find, more or less, people who want to invest,” Holly told The Denver Post by phone on Friday. “There’s a bunch of scenarios we’re looking for.”

She noted that they are currently in talks with potential buyers.

Opponents of a Lakewood ballot measure to limit new home construction in Colorado’s fifth-largest city raised 38 times more in campaign contributions than backers of Question 200 — $573,686 versus $15,071.

The July ballot measure, which allows no more than 1% annual growth in new housing stock, nonetheless won by 53% to 47%.
