Frank Lloyd Wright home in KC sells for nearly $1M: Slideshow
The Frank Lloyd Wright-designed and -renovated Sondern-Adler house, 3600 Belleview Ave. in Kansas City, sold for just under $1 million to a bidder from Nebraska.
According to The Kansas City Star, the winning bidder is set to pay $920,000 for the 80-year-old house after Dallas-based Heritage Auctions conducted a no-reserve auction Monday afternoon.
A Heritage Auctions spokesman told the Star that the name of the new owner is being withheld, but that “he intends to keep it as a gem for Kansas City.”

Makena beachfront home sells for $14M, highest price for Maui so far in 2019
A gated beachfront estate in Makena has sold to an undisclosed buyer for $14 million, the highest price so far this year for a single-family home on Maui.
The 5,680-square-foot, four-bedroom home on a one-acre lot at 7555 Makena Road, called Hale Imi Ola, had been listed for $16 million.
Mark Waite of the SoMa Island Living team at Elite Pacific Properties, represented the seller, MMR Makena LLC, which had purchased the one-acre lot in 2005 for $3.2 million and built the custom home in 2015.
