New York regulators order Aflac to pay $1.1 million


Aflac ruffled the feathers of regulators for neglecting to provide proper disclosure language to customers between 2009 and 2011.

In a consent order filed Monday by the New York Department of Financial Services, the American Family Life Assurance Company of New York agreed to pay $1.1 million in restitution and penalties for violating insurance law.
