The owner of a corned beef restaurant near 76th Street and Capitol Drive in Milwaukee plans to open a new eatery nearby focused on catfish dishes.

Tyron Smith and his wife, Tonya, opened Mae Velma’s Corned Beef about a year ago at 4115 N. 76th St. The restaurant is named for his late mother.
